Meet Our Club

Society of Women Engineers is an organization built to empower women to reach their full potential in fields of engineering and technology. Northern Arizona University’s student section of Society of Women Engineers understands it only takes a few trailblazers to build a strong community, and that’s what the student leaders represent. 

With focuses on leadership, career development, and community outreach, SWE strives by the core values to grow women in engineering and technology.  

Help Us Attend the National SWE Conference

Each year, there is a SWE National Conference held by the national organization. This conference averages over 20,000 attendees each year, with a combination of collegiate, professional members, as well as employers who table at the career fair to specifically recruit women engineers. Attending this conference each year is an amazing opportunity, as it leads to lots of learning experiences, as well as career openings. 

Currently, NAU SWE is only able to send 5-7 students to the national conference, due to limited funding. Because of this, the opportunity to attend conferences is only open to officers at the moment. Opening up the opportunity to senior and upperclassmen members will not only help the individuals, but will help NAU SWE grow as an organization as well.
