Inspiring Curiosity, One Star at a Time

We are the Astronomy Club at Northern Arizona University, a community of students passionate about exploring the universe and sharing that wonder with others.

Our club is dedicated to inspiring curiosity and educating the public about astronomy through our regular meetings and our historically rich, on-campus observatory. Beyond campus, we love venturing into communities across Arizona and neighboring states to bring the stars a little closer to everyone.

Our members have the unique opportunity to train and operate NAU’s on-campus telescope, hosting public viewing nights every Friday and participating in major events such as Flagstaff’s Festival of Science and community star parties. We also organize visits to observatories, facilities, and universities, helping students explore future career opportunities in astronomy and related fields.

The Astronomy Club is more than a student organization; it’s a launchpad for discovery, learning, and connection.

Our Mission and Why We Need Your Support

We are seeking donations to help with the overall growth and outreach of the Astronomy Club. Your gift will help us:

Purchase club shirts to build team spirit
Create promotional materials to connect with new audiences
Buy supplies for general club operations and outreach
Provide low-cost travel opportunities for members
Host and participate in community outreach events
Facilitate NAU and community stargazing events
