Empowering Entomologists in Northern Arizona

The Study of Insects: Northern Arizona Entomology

We are the Northern Arizona Entomology Club, founded in the Fall of 2023 at NAU. Our aim is to spark wonder, reduce fear, and promote research of insects, all while building a community for professional and personal development.

Our members focus on volunteer work, including public outreach and curation of the Northern Arizona University Arthropod Collection.

All the Buzz in Our Community

Thus far, our club has appeared at Science in the Park and after school education programs. This year, we have received overwhelming interest from local elementary and middle schools to educate children on the importance of insects. We believe showing students live insects is the best way to provoke imagination.

How You Can Make an Impact

Your support will help us further our research, maintain our community presence, and foster imagination through insect education.

More specifically, your generosity will be used to:

  • Purchase live insects
  • Buy supplies to promote undergraduate, hands-on volunteer work
  • Help us sort and curate the NAU Arthropod Collection
  • Put on outreach events at schools and in the community
  • Procure the necessary equipment for proper handling and housing of our specimens

Thank You!

Your support will ensure that local students are given the best quality outreach from our club. We thank you in advance for your Lumberjack giving spirit!
