Meet the Ladysharks

We are the Ladysharks Rugby Team! For over 45 years, we’ve been one of the oldest student clubs on campus and remain the only women’s rugby team in Flagstaff. After a strong season, we were recently promoted to Division 2 competition, a huge step forward for our program.

Our team welcomes all NAU students, Flagstaff community members, and players of every experience level.

More than a Game

Rugby is more than competition. The Ladysharks are committed to building a supportive community centered on personal growth, interpersonal connection, and body positivity. 

We take pride in our community service, regional networking with other women’s rugby programs, and our role in growing the sport here in Northern Arizona.

Keep Us Charging Forward

As a self-funded club, we rely on player dues to keep the team going. To keep rugby accessible, we work hard to keep dues low, but athletics are expensive. This year, your donations will help us:

• Purchase new hitting pads, balls, practice shirts, ball bags, and a scrum sled
• Sponsor teammates who need financial assistance with dues
• Compensate athletic trainers and photographers
• Reimburse players for travel expenses such as hotels and gas
• Other club activities and needs
