Who we are:
Welcome Corps on Campus is a new initiative at NAU dedicated to providing educational opportunities for refugee students in the United States. This program offers a life-changing opportunity for students who have overcome significant obstacles in their educational journeys after fleeing their homelands. Supported by President Cruz Rivera, NAU is proud to host two students from Somalia, Zakariya and Halima, who arrived in August to pursue their degrees. They are already making valuable contributions to campus life with their unique perspectives and experiences.
How you can help:
NAU is committed to fully supporting refugee students as they pursue their education here. Your donation will support the costs of their first year, including tuition, room and board, health insurance, and other living expenses. Your generosity will ensure these students receive academic and personal support, helping them to succeed and contribute to our community. We also aim to continue welcoming refugee students to NAU in future years.
Please consider making a gift today to support refugee students and NAU’s ongoing commitment to providing educational opportunities. Your support makes a meaningful difference in their lives and helps build a diverse and inclusive campus community.
Thank you for your generosity in supporting these students. Every gift, large or small, is deeply appreciated and directly impacts the lives of refugee students at NAU. Go Lumberjacks!
