What We Do
Teachers are the most important school-related influence on student achievement. To effectively serve students, educators need support and professional learning opportunities to feel prepared to teach students, achieve their goals, build a professional community, and stay sustained in this work. This strengthens our schools, our communities, and our state.
For 25 years, the Arizona K12 Center has been providing high-quality professional learning for pre-K-12 educators to ultimately benefit our state’s students. We approach our work with care and respect for Arizona’s educators and the profession.
The mission of the Arizona K12 Center is to equip and empower Arizona’s educators with the systems, supports, and networks to best educate students, achieve their goals, build a professional community, and stay sustained in their career.
How You Can Help
The Arizona K12 Center significantly subsidizes all of our learning events to be able to provide trainings at a deep discount to all educators in Arizona. Some events are completely free to Arizona teachers.
Donations through the NAU Foundation will go towards subsidizing our professional learning events and programs. Gifts of any size are appreciated. Your generous donation will help fund teachers’ professional learning, in turn, benefiting Arizona’s students.

Our average cost to provide a year's worth of support events for one aspiring / pre-service educator from NAU is $70. (Events include two Fueled for Success online events.)
Our average cost for a professional learning event is $180 per educator per day.
Our average cost to provide a year's worth of support events for one National Board Candidate is $330. (Events include one Pre-Candidacy Class, one Kickoff event, and two Coaching Saturdays.)
Our average cost to provide a year's worth of support events for one Mentor or Coach is $630. (Events include Mentor Institute, Mentor Forum, and Arizona New Teacher Induction Network.)
Our average cost to provide a year's worth of support events for one Beginning Teacher is $2,000. (Events include three Beginning Teacher Series events and the ATA Beginning Teacher Institute.)
