Honors Capstone Project Grants

Support Honors College Student Capstone Projects

The Honors Capstone is the culminating showcase of an Honors student’s personal, academic, and career goals. All Honors Capstone projects contribute to the development of disciplinary knowledge or practice and include a public component where students share what they have learned with the larger community. Students complete a variety of projects that make a big impact. Some of this year's projects include creating a video game to teach Arizona high school students about economics, developing a pop-culture education curriculum to encourage STEM students, and researching Arizona state water quality. Honors students are undertaking Capstone projects that not only help them grow as students, but also make a difference in their communities.

Your gift supports NAU Honors students and their great projects!

Most Honors Capstone projects require additional expenses. Each student proposes a unique Capstone project, which may include independent studies, internships, conference presentations, research, service, and more. Your gift can help remove financial barriers to completing a Capstone. The Honors Capstone Project Grants will support student endeavors and ensure that finances are not limiting student achievements. Your support can help cover the costs for students to attend conferences and symposia, to participate in beyond-the-classroom opportunities, to purchase materials for one-of-a-kind events, to support startup costs for entrepreneurial business ventures, and more. Your gift makes a difference!

Your gift makes an impact in the community

Honors Capstone projects have helped the community and make a difference in the lives of community members. Each year, Honors students present their Capstone projects during the NAU Undergraduate Symposium. The Symposium allows Honors students the opportunity to display their one-of-a-kind Capstone projects - and features the Honors students as scholars and forward thinkers. You have the opportunity to support an Honors student's visions and commitment to NAU and the larger community. Give now and see the difference your gift can make.

The following Honors Capstone project posters display the detail and complexity of a student's Capstone project
