Meet The Lumberjest at NAU
The Lumberjest is Northern Arizona University’s newest humor writing club, founded in fall 2025 with one goal in mind: bringing laughter to campus and the Flagstaff community.
We’re a group of student writers and creatives who come together to write satirical articles, fake headlines, comic pieces, and other forms of humor that don’t take themselves too seriously.
Inspired by publications like The Onion and McSweeney’s, we’re working to establish NAU’s very own humor magazine, both in print and online, free for students and the community to enjoy.

We’ve spent months writing, editing, and refining our work, and now we’re ready to share it beyond our meetings. Your support helps us cover the essentials that make this project possible.
