Build confidence in High School students by producing media from their perspective at NAU. 

Join us in supporting the 2026 Hispanic/Latine Media Workshop (H/LMW) at NAU, a transformative five-day experience for up to 25 high school students from across Arizona. From June 14 - 19, 2026, these students will immerse themselves in learning visual communication skills to create content for a social media campaign, learning from School of Communication faculty, and working with NAU college students mentors, while living on the NAU campus. 

Full scholarships, valued at up to $1,500 each, will be awarded to all participants. 

Thanks to a generous offer from NAU’s President’s Office, every dollar donated will be matched up to $25,000.

Hands-on Learning: Workshop Activities

Explore the exciting opportunities awaiting students at the 2026 Hispanic/Latine Media Workshop. Participants will engage in immersive activities including animation, filmmaking, graphic design and photography using professional-grade equipment. 

This workshop aims to inspire high school students to complete their high school education, see college as an achievable goal, gain career-related skills, and feel welcomed on the NAU campus. They will also have the chance to meet industry professionals.
