Step Up for NAU Dance — Every Gift Moves Us Forward

We are the NAU Dance Team!

As the official dance team of Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona, you’ll see us cheering at sports games, promoting school spirit at community events, and competing at the biggest collegiate dance nationals in the world. 

We are 8X National Champions of USA Nationals and compete in both jazz and hip-hop at UDA Nationals in Orlando at the D1 level.

The NAU Dance Team is deeply involved in campus life. Our top priority is supporting NAU athletics—dancing at football and basketball games and bringing spirit to other campus events. We strive for excellence as both students and athletes while creating a welcoming environment on and off campus. We’re proud to represent NAU in a positive way and give back through community service, events, and parades.

Help us reach our goal

We aim to raise $10,000 to cover team expenses, so we can attend UDA Nationals and proudly represent Northern Arizona University and Flagstaff, AZ. This support ensures our hard work pays off with the chance to compete at the highest level—a goal our team looks forward to each year.

Since 2020, our funding from NAU Athletics was cut, requiring us to fundraise on our own. As full-time students, carrying this financial burden is challenging. Being a year-round team brings many costs.

• New uniforms and gear: We’ve worn the same uniforms for over a decade and hope to finally upgrade!
• Travel costs: Our biggest expense is traveling to Nationals, where we compete against other D1 programs, grow as athletes, and elevate NAU’s name and reputation nationwide.
