Our Crowdfunding Groups
We are the official dance team of Northern Arizona University located in Flagstaff, Arizona. You may see us cheering at sports games, promoting school spirit and pride at community events, and competing at the biggest collegiate dance nationals in the world.
We are 8X National Champions, and are the current champions in D1 Hip-Hop at USA Nationals. Our team competes in both jazz and hip-hop, at UDA Nationals in Orlando, FL and USA Nationals in Anaheim, CA at the D1 level.
The NAU Dance Team is truly involved in the university. Our first priority is to provide support to the various sports teams that are on campus. We dance at NAU football, basketball, volleyball and soccer games, and participate in various athletic games and events to provide support and spirit. This program continuously strives to achieve excellence both as students and athletes. Our goal is to create a welcoming environment both on and off campus, and represent our university and program in a positive manner. We enjoy giving back to our community by participating in community service, and staying involved through community events and parades. Go Jacks!
In 2020, our funding was cut from NAU Athletics, requiring us to fundraise on our own to keep our program alive and running. This has become a serious financial burden to hold on our own as full-time college students. As a year-round college dance team, we have an abundant amount of expenses, including uniforms and gear; travel costs; competition fees; choreographers; athletic training and recovery; and recruitment costs. As our team continues to grow, we hope to upgrade our uniforms, as we've been wearing the same uniforms for over a decade. Our largest expense is traveling to nationals to compete. Competing at nationals gives us the opportunity to continue to grow as athletes and bring recognition to NAU by building or name and reputation across the country.
Help us reach our goal
Our goal is to raise $20,000 to help cover our expenses. This would ensure that we have a new team uniform and are able to provide a consistent, professional look at all of our athletic and community service events. It would also guarantee that our hard work pays off by providing us with the opportunity to compete our dances at nationals, which is something our team looks forward to tremendously. The success of this fundraiser would impact our program immensely. Thank you for supporting our program!
A gift at this level will purchase one pair of poms for a member of the NAU Dance Team.
A gift at this level will purchase one pair of gameday shoes for a member of the NAU Dance Team.
A gift at this level will purchase one uniform for a member of the NAU Dance Team.
A gift at this level will purchase a flight to collegiate nationals for a member of the NAU Dance Team.
A gift at this level will cover housing costs for a member of the NAU Dance Team at collegiate nationals.
A gift at this level will completely cover the costs for one member of the NAU Dance Team for the entire season This includes: gameday, travel, and competition fees.
A gift at this level will cover the competition entry fees and rights for one routine at collegiate nationals.
