Who we are:
Pi Theta Epsilon is an occupational therapy honor society that promotes research and scholarship among occupational therapy students. We serve the profession of occupational therapy and help ensure quality healthcare services to the general public by supporting research, leadership, and scholarly activities.
Why we need your support:
We are raising money for our inaugural Distinguished Lectureship Series in memory of Dr. Emily Schulz who passed away suddenly in June 2022. These funds will carry on her legacy to bring academic thought leaders to the campus whose scholarship emphasizes Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice in occupational therapy. In the inaugural year, the selected scholar will be a researcher delivering their lecture on NAU's Phoenix Bioscience Core Campus (PBC) in the Spring, 2023 semester.
Through the sponsored lecture we aim to advance NAU’s Mission by exposing the students to a diverse array of people, backgrounds, and ideas to become leaders, practice-scholars, and change agents in Arizona and beyond, while remaining on the vanguard of the profession.
Your Impact:
Your gift will support occupational therapy students in their efforts to include Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice work within their chosen profession. Through this lectureship series, we will be better equipped to serve all members of the communities we practice in.
