Who we are: 

PRISM Strives to empower, advocate, and support individuals who identify with lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, questioning, intersex, asexual, and queer identities. (Hereafter respectfully referred to as non-conforming, intersecting identities; "queer.") PRISM accomplishes this by creating a safe space for cultivating alliances, leadership, and educational opportunities.  

 
We are Northern Arizona University’s largest student-led LGBTQIA+ organization. We support LGBTQIA+ students to help form a sense of community and friendship. Our meeting topics range from queer history/herstory, current events, STI prevention to Bob Ross painting night. We put on a drag show every semester featuring students from Northern Arizona University and Coconino Community College. 
 

Why we need your support: 

This year we are planning to support queer NAU students by hosting fun, inclusive, informational events that empower and uplift.  

We need your help to fund: 

• Drag Show 
  • It is an NAU tradition to have a PRISM drag show each semester. Before the show, we plan to have an educational drag workshop where students can learn more about the history behind the artform. Located at the Orpheum theatre in downtown Flagstaff, this event highlights performers of all experience levels who wish to learn the art of drag. Help us provide our amateur performers with this amazing performance space! 
• PRISM Gala 
  • Many queer students come out of the closet after high school. Many students don't get to experience high-school prom like their straight counterparts. We hope to put on a semiformal dance this semester to provide NAU students with a safe and inclusive dance where they can openly be themselves.  

• Weekly Meetings 
  • Each week, we host activities aimed at providing a safe, fun, inclusive, and informational place for the queer students at NAU. These events range wide in topic but are always with that goal in mind. Help us afford art supplies, STI-safety informational materials, and office supplies. Your donation would be greatly appreciated.
