ASNAU CAP & GOWN CLOSET
The Associated Students of Northern Arizona (ASNAU) is the undergraduate student government for Northern Arizona University. ASNAU exists to be the voice for students at the campus, local, state, and national levels, and we believe every NAU student deserves the opportunity to attend commencement regardless of financial need.
Each student has worked too hard—and sacrificed too much—to miss this milestone celebration because they cannot afford a cap and gown. The Cap and Gown Closet was created to make commencement regalia more accessible for all Lumberjacks. The Closet, located in the ASNAU office, rents caps and gowns to in-need graduating, undergraduate students.

ASNAU kindly asks for your support of this project by sponsoring a cap, gown, or maintenance and cleaning fees. Your gift today will make commencement equitable and accessible for all Jacks.

Alumni Cap & Gown Donations
Do you have graduation regalia you no longer need? Donating it to the ASNAU Cap and Gown closet makes it possible for a student in need to walk across the stage at the Skydome to celebrate their hard-earned achievement. This simple gesture makes a major impact.
Donations are accepted year-round. Please note that all donated caps and gowns must be from the year 2005 on and navy blue.

ASNAU
The Associated Students of Northern Arizona (ASNAU) is the undergraduate student government for Northern Arizona University. In addition to this closet, ASNAU supports the student experience through various events and efforts including: the annual Homecoming Carnival, student clubs and organizations funding, and donations to Louie's Cupboard, Lumberjack Emergency Assistance Fund (LEAF), free menstrual products in the Union, and Student Legal Counsel.

What's a mortarboard? How do you wear it? Did you decorate yours? Each gift at this level covers the cost of one cap, or mortarboard, for a graduate to wear at commencement.
No Sophomore slump here! Gifts at this level support cleaning and maintenance fees associated with the closet.
Graduation is so close, yet so far. A gift a this level will purchase one gown for a deserving Lumberjack.
Network! A gift at this level shows future graduates the Lumberjack alumni network has their back (front and head) with a complete cap & gown set.
In honor of the year NAU was established, 1899. A gift at this level supports the ASNAU Cap and Gown Closet for future generations of graduates, ensuring commencement is equitable and accessible for all Lumberjacks.
