Help support NAU Cycling's 2023 Race Season

The NAU Cycling Team

The Northern Arizona University Cycling Club is the largest collegiate cycling organization in the state of Arizona.  Reaching over 120 active students, the club also maintains a smaller 30 person cycling team dedicated to traveling to racing events.  We compete in many disciplines including Dual Slalom, Cross Country, short track, road, and downhill spanning from small local races to national level competitions.

YOUR Support will help us reach our 2023 Goals

We want our club to be inclusive and accessible so in our 2023 season, we hope to boost local participation and increase participation of the sport in all ages and genders. Additionally, we hope to compete in competitions and YOUR donation will support the costs of hosting, traveling, and competing in events.

2023 Goals:

  • Host the first ever Dual Slalom race at the Sedona Mountain Bike Fest in March 2023
  • Host the regional championships at Sunrise Bike park in September 2023
  • Compete in the USA Cycling collegiate Nationals

Moral Support at the 2022 Women's National STXC

Last Year's Season

After a great debut back to collegiate racing in 2021, our team came back hungry for results for the 2022 season. With major growth in our men's and women's endurance teams, as well as a higher competition level in our gravity team, we were able to not only secure 6th place as a club in the Collegiate National Championships, but also secure podium and championship placements in Women's cross country and short track, and in team relay divisions.

Locally, the NAU Cycling Club secured wins at state competitions to secure 1st place in the Southwest Conference, with racers Braeden Sellinger and Lauren Aggler winning the men's and women's conference in cross country and short track.

Through the support of sponsors and generous donations from our 2022 fundraiser, the club was also able to host the Sunrise Peak Scramble, an all event mountain bike race at Sunrise Park Resort. With amazing turnout and increased interest, the Sunrise Peak Scramble will be returning for its second year this September!

Post Relay Celebrations in the 2022 Nationals Team Relay

With the growth of the club and increased possibilities of large expenses, we are reopening our fundraiser for 2023. An increasing possibility of the National Championships being hosted on the East Coast and an increase in racing within the club mean we are looking to raise more money in order to continue with the growth we have been experiencing over the past two years. Your donation will work wonders in allowing our team to meet our goals.
