My name is Trevor, and I worked as an intern at the Arizona Daily Sun during the spring 2020 semester. Considering the timing of my employment, which started with in-person reporting and transitioned into remote news writing after the pandemic started, I learned aboutthe adaptability of journalism. Truly, if a writer has the perseverance to pursue stories and the passion to share them, anything can happen. I graduate from NAU this semester, and am unbelievably thankful for the opportunity that the reporters and editors gave me. Looking toward my future, I am unsure about continuing in journalism or entering another field, but the most important lesson comes from that uncertainty. Regardless of what my career becomes, writing for the Daily Sun developed my writing, deepened my connections and demonstrated that words will always matter. I am appreciative.
