The School of Art’s Visiting Lecture Series

Last year, the School of Art Visiting Lecture Series successfully brought acclaimed and diverse artists, writers, and critics to the NAU community thanks to your generous donations. Visiting lecturers such as Jon Rubin, Xiaoyu Weng, William Stuart, and Jim McNeill elevated the learning environment for students and reached communities members worldwide through virtual presentations. 

We plan to continue the Visiting Lecture Series this year, both in-person and virtually. Your gift will make these inspiring events possible when these visiting lecturers bring their unique influences to the NAU community. NAU art students will have extensive interactions with the lecturers through studio visits, workshops, informal conversations, while virtual presentations will be available for anyone – on or off campus – to attend.

Visiting lecturers help prepare NAU art students for the next steps in their careers by guiding them in the critic process and encouraging their growth as artists by sharing their unique perspectives. Through studio visits, workshops and informal conversations, NAU students are equipped to take their art to the next level. 

NAU School of Art alumni make an impact worldwide by sharing their art as professional artists, interior designers, and by teaching youth to discover their inner artist.
