Your gift will help purchase the furniture and service items needed for NAU students to gain hands-on knowledge about the delivery of a fine-dining experience
To launch this successful student-run dining room, NAU students are asking for your contributions. To accommodate 30 guests per meal we need your help to purchase the following:
- Table settings including: dinner plates, wine and water glasses, silverware, tablecloths and napkins
- Serving trays and service domes
- Dining room chairs
- Armoire for storage
While we recognize our current environment doesn’t allow for us to provide in-person dining, HRM is planning for a time when we can.Your generosity will further develop the hospitality skills of NAU Hotel and Restaurant Management students. Your gift can make a student-run dining room a reality, offering Lumberjacks the hands-on experience needed to be successful in the food and beverage side of the hospitality industry.
The School of Hotel and Restaurant Management prepares students to be socially responsible, culturally aware and poised for success in an ever-changing, global hospitality industry. Their success is facilitated by rigorous academic programs informed by faculty research and meaningful industry engagement.
The future Student-Run Dining Room will host current and future Lumberjacks
The student-run dining room will generate ongoing revenue by hosting events and providing a distinct formal dining experience. These events will showcase the college culinary experience, and provide valuable experiential learning in this formal dining setting to HRM students. Net proceeds from the student-run dining room will help cover some of the costs related to hosting special community events and support the HRM Scholarship Fund.
