Your gift provides preventative dental care for a veteran

Did you know NAU has its own Dental Hygiene Clinic? It does! The clinic, open to the public, is a place where NAU Dental Hygiene students have the opportunity to provide dental hygiene care to clients, and where they can build upon the skills they learn in the classroom by applying real-world scenarios. Each student in the Dental Hygiene program is required to complete hours in the clinic in order to graduate from the program. In addition, we strive to support local community members in need of dental hygiene. To meet these two goals, we need  your help! Your gift to support the NAU Dental Hygiene Clinic makes the services free to eligible community members and provides required clinic hours for NAU students.

Support veterans this Veterans Day by making a gift to the NAU Dental Hygiene Clinic

Many veterans do not have access to dental care or cannot afford the cost for an exam and a cleaning. This lack of access to care among some veterans can result in poor oral health that could lead to other systemic health problems. Students are accruing their clinic hours and supporting veterans this year by offering free exams, cleanings, and x-rays for veterans on November 12, 2020. Your gift of $65 can fill a chair with a veteran!  By providing free dental hygiene care to veterans, NAU students are developing the skills they need to be professional dental hygienists, and they are also helping veterans live healthier lives.

At a cost of $65 per chair, and 34 chairs, the Dental Hygiene Clinic needs $2,210 to offer free services to veterans.

Your gift today will support veterans in the Flagstaff community.
