At NAU, we are proud to have a tradition of excellence that enriches lives and creates opportunities for our students.

One of the incredible experiences we offer students each year is presenting at the NAU Undergraduate Symposium. The Undergraduate Symposium is a showcase of student research and creative activity in the arts, business, education, humanities, and the sciences. It features over 700 student presentations from all disciplines and attracts more than 3,000 attendees from the NAU and Flagstaff communities.

This year will be the fifteenth year that all the colleges will come together to celebrate this university-wide event. It will be held on Friday, April 26, from 9 am – 4 pm in the High Country Conference Center, Drury, and 1899 Ballroom. The presentations will feature:

cooking demonstrations by students in Hotel and Restaurant Management,
art creations and performances by the College of Arts and Letters,
oral presentations,
engineering capstone projects like the Collegiate Wind Team, and
numerous poster presentations showcasing student accomplishments.

Participation in this type of professional conference encourages students’ development of critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication via research and prepares them for a bright future.

Every dollar donated goes directly to supporting our students presenting at the NAU Undergraduate Symposium, traveling to a regional or national conference as a representative of NAU, or to paying wages to those completing independent research with a mentor. Your support will ensure that we move toward providing this high impact experience to all Lumberjacks.

Why does NAU need donations?

State funding, tuition, and fees do not cover the total cost of what it takes to provide a university education each year.
