NAU Korean Language and Culture Club

WHAT IS KLCC?

The Korean Language and Culture Club at NAU is a student organization that brings together people who are interested in the different aspects of the Korean Culture; language, entertainment, holidays, food, and current events. We create a welcoming space for our exchange students who wish to share about their culture and experiences. And also educate those who are interested, by providing information sessions and different hands-on activities throughout the semester through our different subunits: dance, language and dramarama and our general meetings.

Donating to our student organization will provide our club with more resources to continue supporting our members who are interested in studying abroad in South Korea and to host events that create a community here at NAU.

PUBLIC EVENTS

KLCC host a variety of events for the members to make lifelong friendships with people who share similar interests as them. We host a major public event per semester. During the fall semester, we host a Halloween party and in spring we host PROM so our members and also the international students have the experience of these American events.

During the spring event, we have different events that revolve around Korean Culture. We host a culture night, and a kpop night, where we also invite other clubs that focus on Asian Culture to join us to celebrate API Month.

STUDY ABROAD

One of our essential meetings each semester is the Study Abroad in Korea information session. There are a variety of programs that our members are interested in participating in. We want to promote studying abroad regardless of major of study, ethnicity or financial background. Although many of our members want to have their own experience abroad, some are unable to because of financial matters. By donating to our club, you could help boost their chances in traveling to South Korea.

With your donation, KLCC will be able to prepare more exciting events for future members to partake in that will strengthen our bond as a group and support the international students transition into NAU. Some of which include Field Day, and Cup Sleeve event. Thank you!

With your contribution, KLCC will continue to host different holiday events where members can celebrate specific occasions like Chuseok, Halloween, Winter Holidays, and Lunar New Year. This will cover supplies, food, and activities. Thank you!

Since April 2022, we decided to host international PROM for everyone at NAU and to be able to experience this fun event! With your support we will be able to provide a photo booth, amazing decorations and ambience at our event! Thank you!

With your contribution, we will be able to help students who wish to partake in the Study Abroad programs that NAU offers throughout the year. You will support them to achieve their goal. This can cover their meal/ transportation expenses. Thank you!

Why does NAU need donations?

State funding, tuition, and fees do not cover the total cost of what it takes to provide a university education each year.
